NPR?:

You’ll be familiar with EN or BS standards. But the Toleo was designed in the Netherlands, where the enlightened Dutch use the NPR standard. Unlike other standards, NPR supports a greater diversity of body shapes and sizes. When a chair claims to be ergonomic and sports NPR certification, you know it’s really ergonomic, with a wider range of adjustment that means if your body size or shape doesn’t fit the ‘average’ (whatever that is) you’ll still be able to sit very, very comfortably.  

Speaking from generously proportioned experience, we’ve certainly found the Toleo NPR comfortable in ways other office chairs just aren’t.

3D movement: Up. Down. Forward. Back. So far, so standard, but our bodies don’t move in straight lines. We bend and twist and (occasionally) slouch. The clever lateral support and unique torsional movement of the Toleo encourages ‘mobile sitting’ without any additional springs, joints, bells or whistles. So as you move, your chair moves with you, supporting every posture, not just a few.
